About this module
Common questions about this module
What do I need for this?
The **Bexio module** and the **Activities module** for FreeScout. The Bexio module supplies customers and articles; in the Activities module the generated invoices are managed and prepared for transmission.
Why can I not simply buy the module?
Because it builds on two further modules and produces invoices at the end. We set that chain up together instead of leaving you alone with a buy button. Write to us – we clarify the requirements first.
What happens if a billing run is missed?
The next run catches up the open periods. Periods are neither skipped nor billed twice, because the module works them out continuously from the start date and the interval. If a run fails, the last valid state remains and the error is shown.
Does anything go to Bexio automatically?
No. The run prepares the invoices for review; transmission happens only when you release them. You get the preparation for free and keep the decision.
What if a contract changes in the middle of a period?
If a service is added or a quantity changes, the module bills the difference pro rata for the period in which it applies. You neither have to work it out by hand nor wait for the next full period.
How does a cancellation take effect?
It ends the contract at the close of the current period; until then it stays active. After the first invoice the start date is locked – otherwise the time basis of periods already billed could be moved afterwards.
Does the invoice say which period it covers?
Yes, every generated invoice carries a text with the service period. That saves both sides from asking which period the lines refer to.
What recurs should be handled recurringly
Set up the contracts once, let the periods be worked out, check once before transmission — the module does the rest.
