Partner terms

Version 1.0 · As of 18 October 2026

Subject and scope

1.1 These partner terms govern participation in the partner programme of let’s automate gmbh, Rebengässli 5, 5245 Habsburg, Switzerland («let’s automate»). In the partner programme, the partner recommends modules from the online shop of let’s automate and receives a commission for referred sales.

1.2 Only persons acting in the course of their professional or commercial activity may become partners. The partner programme is not aimed at consumers.

1.3 The partner programme is governed exclusively by these partner terms. Where the partner buys in the online shop himself, the General Terms and Conditions of let’s automate (GTC) apply to that purchase. General terms and conditions of the partner do not apply.

1.4 A deviating written agreement with an individual partner, for example on a different commission rate, takes precedence over these partner terms.

Participation

2.1 The partner registers in the customer portal of let’s automate and accepts these partner terms in the version displayed at that time. The partner account is a role of his customer account.

2.2 let’s automate reviews every registration and either approves the partner or declines. There is no right to participate. A refusal need not be justified.

2.3 The partner keeps his details up to date, in particular company name, address, VAT status and number, and payout method. He is responsible for the consequences of incorrect or outdated details.

2.4 The partner keeps his access data secret. Actions taken through his account are attributed to him.

Modules

3.1 let’s automate determines which modules take part in the partner programme and may withdraw a module from the programme at any time. Commissions already earned remain unaffected.

3.2 In his partner area, the partner chooses which of the released modules he promotes. Commission is paid only for modules he had chosen at the time of purchase.

3.3 For the chosen modules, let’s automate provides images, logos and texts («marketing kit»). The partner may use them during his participation to promote the modules. He may not alter them in a way that creates a false impression of let’s automate or the modules. He may use trademarks, names and logos of let’s automate only within this scope.

Assignment of customers

4.1 The partner receives a personal link and a separate link for each chosen module. When someone visits the online shop through one of these links, the visitor’s browser remembers the partner for 30 days.

4.2 If the visitor buys in the online shop during this period, he is assigned to the partner for twelve months from that purchase. If he buys again through a link of the same partner during this period, the twelve months start anew.

4.3 If a customer is already assigned to another partner, that assignment remains until it expires. The link of a further partner does not create an assignment during this period.

4.4 The assignment ends after twelve months. Thereafter, a commission arises only if the customer buys again through a link of the partner.

4.5 No assignment and no commission arise (a) for purchases made by the partner himself or through his own customer account; (b) for services not obtained through the checkout of the online shop but on invoice or under an individual contract; (c) if the assignment is based on a breach of section 7.

4.6 The records of let’s automate are authoritative for assignment and commission. The partner can view them in his partner area.

Commission

5.1 For every purchase by an assigned customer, the partner receives a commission on each purchased module he had chosen at the time of purchase. This also applies if the customer does not use a link, and to the renewal of a subscription, as long as the assignment exists.

5.2 The commission amounts to 30 % of the sales price in the online shop, excluding VAT and before deduction of payment fees. let’s automate may set a different rate for individual modules; it is shown in the partner area. The commission is denominated in the currency of the purchase.

5.3 A commission is held back for 30 days after the purchase and becomes due thereafter.

5.4 If a purchase is refunded in whole or in part, the commission lapses accordingly. If it has already been paid out, it is offset against the next commissions. A balance in favour of let’s automate that is not offset by new commissions within twelve months lapses; let’s automate does not reclaim it.

5.5 The commission covers all services of the partner in the partner programme. Expenses are not reimbursed.

Statement and payout

6.1 The partner can request payout of his due commissions in his partner area as soon as they amount to at least 100 units of a currency (CHF 100, EUR 100 or USD 100). let’s automate transfers requested amounts monthly to the account on file.

6.2 The parties agree on self-billing: let’s automate issues a credit note for each payout, which serves as the partner’s invoice. The partner does not issue his own invoice. He checks every credit note and raises objections within 30 days; thereafter it is deemed approved.

6.3 Commissions are stated excluding VAT. In his partner area, the partner states whether his registered office is in Switzerland or Liechtenstein and whether he is liable for VAT there. If he is, he provides his VAT number; the credit note then shows VAT at the statutory rate in addition, and let’s automate transfers it as well. If the partner’s registered office is abroad, the service is deemed an import of services; let’s automate accounts for the VAT under the reverse-charge procedure. The partner is responsible for his own taxes and charges.

6.4 Transfer costs are borne by let’s automate; costs on the recipient’s side are borne by the partner.

6.5 When participation ends, let’s automate pays out due commissions even below the minimum amount, provided a payout method is on file.

Advertising

7.1 The partner advertises factually and truthfully. He makes no statements about the modules beyond the information provided by let’s automate, in particular no commitments on prices, features, availability or support.

7.2 The partner does not pose as let’s automate and does not create the impression of acting on behalf of let’s automate. He labels his recommendations as partner links where the law or the rules of a platform require this.

7.3 The following are prohibited in particular: (a) mass advertising by e-mail, messenger or telephone without the recipients’ consent (Art. 3 para. 1 let. o of the Swiss Unfair Competition Act); (b) paid search advertising on the terms «let’s automate», «letsautomate» or variations thereof, and domains or accounts containing these names; (c) setting or faking clicks without a deliberate action by the visitor, for example through hidden links, automatic redirects or scripts; (d) promises of vouchers or discounts that let’s automate does not offer; (e) advertising on sites with unlawful, discriminatory, violence-glorifying or pornographic content.

7.4 In the event of a breach, let’s automate may suspend the partner immediately. Commissions from assignments based on the breach lapse; let’s automate may reclaim commissions already paid out.

Data protection

8.1 For the customers assigned to him, the partner receives only the details needed for the statement: a shortened e-mail address, a customer number, the module purchased, the purchase amount and his commission. He does not attempt to identify customers from these.

8.2 let’s automate processes the partner’s details to run the partner programme, for statements and for accounting, as described in the privacy policy. Credit notes and the related details are kept as business records for ten years.

Liability

9.1 let’s automate is liable to the partner only for damage caused unlawfully, intentionally or through gross negligence. In particular, there is no liability for lost commissions due to technical faults, due to visitors’ browser settings that prevent the link from being remembered, or because a module is withdrawn from the programme or no longer offered.

9.2 The partner is liable for his advertising. He indemnifies let’s automate against third-party claims based on a breach of these partner terms or of applicable law.

Term and termination

10.1 Participation is for an indefinite period. Either party may end it at any time by e-mail without giving reasons.

10.2 For good cause, in particular in the event of a breach of section 7, let’s automate may suspend the partner immediately and end the participation.

10.3 When participation ends, all assignments end and no new commissions arise. Commissions earned before are settled in accordance with sections 5 and 6; section 7.4 remains reserved. The marketing kit may no longer be used thereafter.

Changes

11.1 let’s automate may change these partner terms. Changes are announced to the partner by e-mail at least 30 days before they take effect. If the partner does not agree, he may end participation before they take effect; otherwise the changes are deemed accepted.

11.2 A reduction of the commission rate applies only to purchases after it takes effect.

Final provisions

12.1 The partner acts as an independent entrepreneur. The partner programme does not create an employment, agency or partnership relationship; the partner is not entitled to act on behalf of let’s automate or to conclude contracts.

12.2 Should individual provisions be invalid, the remainder remains valid. The parties replace the invalid provision with one that comes closest to its purpose.

12.3 These partner terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules.

12.4 The exclusive place of jurisdiction is the registered office of let’s automate.

Good to know

Frequent questions

Everything you should know about our modules, licences, updates and support before you buy.

Why does my purchased FreeScout module show an expiry date?

With your purchase you get the module plus twelve months of support, security updates and new features. The expiry date shown refers to those included services — not to your right to use the module at all.

What happens when my licence expires?

The module you have installed keeps working. Once the licence has expired, though, no new security or feature updates arrive and the included support can no longer be used.

You decide for yourself whether to renew the licence or to keep using the installed module without further updates, at your own responsibility.

Others promise lifetime updates. Why don’t you?

Technologies, security requirements and dependencies keep changing. What works reliably today can be outdated or unsupported tomorrow. Good software therefore needs continuous care, testing and development.

Rather than tie you to a permanent subscription, we leave you the choice: renew your licence, or keep using the installed module without further updates, at your own responsibility.

Do I need your LaStore module?

No, but the LaStore module connects your FreeScout instance with the modules you bought, and it brings several advantages:

  • installation with one click
  • automatic detection of available updates
  • easy updating right inside FreeScout
  • verification of the package signature
  • protection against module packages altered or tampered with unnoticed

Our modules do not use the normal update process, because it is not secure. The LaStore module verifies each of our modules before updating. An attacker therefore cannot deliver forged, dangerous updates. Without this module the verification is up to you, and it is a manual process.

Do I really get the complete source code?

Yes. Our modules are provided under the AGPL-3.0 licence. The module as delivered contains the complete source code, which you can inspect and adapt within the terms of that licence.

On how many FreeScout instances may I use the module?

One licence covers one active FreeScout instance. Two free server moves are included on top of that.

If an old server is no longer in use, the system releases its activation automatically after 90 days. An instance that is unreachable or already deleted is therefore not counted against your licence for good.

Can I return a module I bought?

You have a 14-day right of return. It ends as soon as you activate the module — not already when the licence key is delivered to you.

So activate the module only once you have finally decided to use it. For consumers in the EEA, the statutory provisions on the right of withdrawal for digital content apply in addition.

Who issues my invoice?

Payment is handled by Paddle. Paddle acts as Merchant of Record and therefore as the seller. That is why Paddle appears as the issuer of the invoice, and possibly also as the payee on your card or bank statement.

Does a module need other FreeScout modules?

That depends on the product. Some modules work entirely on their own and offer additional features when other modules are present. Others have hard dependencies.

The slot finder, for example, strictly needs the Calendar module, because the available appointments are worked out from the calendars kept there.

Required and optional dependencies are stated on each product page.

What can I do if something doesn’t work?

We test our modules carefully. Even so, a feature may not behave as expected in a particular environment.

Every module comes with a detailed guide. If that does not get you any further, you can open a support ticket. Describe the problem briefly and the steps you have already taken — we are glad to help.

Pay securely, worldwideYour payment is handled securely by Paddle. You can pay from anywhere in the world, comfortably in your own currency — proper invoicing included.
Open, auditable, adaptableThanks to AGPL-3.0 you get the complete source code. You can audit the software, adapt it yourself and keep running it independently.
Two server moves includedYour FreeScout instance is moving? You can transfer your licence to a new server up to twice, free of charge, and keep using the module there.
Install once, stay current by itselfWith our LaStore module for FreeScout you install what you bought with a single click. Available updates are checked and installed automatically.
